During EAA flyin 2010 in Norrköping, the air is controlled airspace part of the time, so study the approach and airport charts and take note of the special flight rules during fly in days. Important information from air traffic service
Tower's opening hours have changed for 6-7 June The opening hours during the EAA Fly in is now the following June 5 0600-2400 local time June 6 0645-0845 local time June 7 1600-2230 local time - To contact the tower at the weekend 6-7 June call them at +46 11-127725 or +46 11-192569 - The special VFR Approach pattern applies only 6-7 June, the normal traffic pattern is applied June 5 and June 8. Clarification on airspace ESSP CTR is over 1600 ft. When the tower is closed, the control zone is uncontrolled airspace. Over 1600ft is Östgöta terminal area (ÖKC) controlled airspace, the radio channel 132,950, and they are open even when the ESSP TWR is closed. ÖKC's opening hours are June 6 0630-2330, June 7 0630-2350 local time. Requests from ÖKC is that as many as possible fly below the 1600 feet controlled ÖKC TMA. If you intend to fly in Östergötland TMA fill in a flight plan in advance. Avoid making an shorted flight plan to ÖKC in the air. Remember to close the flight plans after landing when the tower is closed.

To find from the air
To find ESSP recommended map in Swedish airfields or AIP. During the Fly-in only used entry points Åby north and Dockan (at Söderköping) to the south. This applies both when the tower is open and closed.
The main runway is 09/27 and grass runway 11/29 will be used only by those who can not use hard runway or flying / taxing very slow. Specific fly routes have been developed to regulate the traffic in the air and on the ground. It can become crowded in the traffic patterns and conflict may occur when entering the traffic patterns. Remember that the right rule applies in the air and that all turns shall be to the left (except the right turns we have approved). Follow plane in forward and do not enter in front of someone who is in the final. If you have collision beacons and / or headlights so have them turned on from the entry point to the landing. Entry points are "Åby" in the north and "Dockan" in the south.
For entry route applies 1000 ft and 1500ft for exit route.

The asphalt taxi way to the club will be closed for a bit in. This taxiväg can be used by the aircraft how can not taxi on an
uncoated taxi way. Parking is (with the hand force) along the taxi route. A grass taxi way are prepared from runway 09/27 west end parking loops to the aircraft parking. Taxi gently!

Parking your aircraft
Guards are assigned to refer on parking. Follow their instructions, are you in doubt if you can taxi inform that at 123.5. It is you who must take decisions about if you can taxi or not. We intend to divide the parking area so that the standard aircraft park at the far west, exhibition aircraft in front of NAFKs clubhouse, new and interesting amateur construction and veteran aircraft east and those who must have been hard taxi way will park along ordinary taxi way.
Large aircraft wil be parked in front of expedition and in the case of these, we are grateful for the advance notice.
You leave the parking area during the fly-inet, it is not certain that the site is vacant when you come back. So do not leave, soil nails, equipment, etc. in the parking area if you are flying in the days. Submit such things in the office if you do not want them in the airplane.

To find the fly in by car
If you take the car, follow the airport symbol until you see additional signs of Fly-inet. Fly-in area is in the north of theairport, commonly known as the club side. Have you ended up at the terminals so you can drive around the airport in right turns. Parking is at the motor park and a smaller parking is charged. Parking staff can not take decisions on who may bring in car in the airport area, so if you intend to stay overnight at the airport and need to take in the car so you may do so after 17 o'clock on Saturday.
There are a few parking lots for disabled inside the airport. Some form of authorization must be presented for those places.

Municipal transport
Public transportation is in connection with the fly-in area.
From "Resecentrum" change to line three tram to "Klockaretorpet" and get off at "Söder Tull".
Bus 116 passes the "Söder Tull" in the center and go out against Lindö and fly inet. The nearest bus stop is "Kråkvilan"
The bus goes every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on holidays.
Unfortunately, ticket can not be purchased on the bus instead send an SMS with the text "NV" to phone number "72365"
You will receive a confirmation that you have paid. This confirmation is your ticket.

Minibus transport between airport and hotel / hostel is planned to run during morning and afternoon. If necessary, at least full and half hour. The price is 20: - / person.

Taxi costs about 130 SEK from Kungsängen airport to Norrköping city center.

Office
An office is set up in Veteran Flights hangar. They will register your arrival and you will receive two free tickets for refreshments, notifie them if you want to fly demo or advanced, dinner tickets, looking for officials, etc.. Briefing and weather is taken care of here. The office has a phone number +46 73-1537866 and phone will be open the time 5-8 June.

Accomodation
You can camp at the airport but the shower possibilities are limited. . Camping is free, but should be done on the designated place or next to its own aircraft. No tents may be on the aircraft parking area on Saturday before 17:00, mainly for security reasons. There are a number of hostels and hotels in relative proximity.

Food and refreshments
On Friday night we barbecues and we have fun in simple but pleasant forms. On Saturday there are two canteens with coffee
and simple lunch. On Saturday evening, as usual hangar dinner where we expect a maximum of 200 guests. On Sunday, breakfast and coffee in the morning and simple lunch. Rules and air show
For flight safety reasons we do not tolerate spontaneous aerobatics or low pass. Since we know that there are those who want
to demonstrate their aircraft in the air or fly a show we have allocated one hours between the hours 15 and 16 on Saturday to Air Show. Fuel and oil
Refueling of aviation gasoline 91/96 can be made on the club side under the hole the fly-in. Only cash payment in the range of 100 SEK or 10 Euro. Refuellers of 100 LL and Jet A1 can be done on the terminal side and only when the tower is open. In this case the only card. Shell fuel or Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Oil is unfortunately not available during the weekend.

Radio and transponder
Bi-directional radio is mandatory when TWR is in service. Blind radio transmitting is recommended even when the TWR is closed. TWR ESSP frequency 120.350 used until you have landed and taxi of the runway then 123,500 as ground frequency.

Limit radio traffic to only what is strictly necessary.
Transponder mode A is mandatory when TWR is open. Other times not required.

Seaplane
Organizers are not planning for Seaplanes. The possibilities for Seaplane, however, is good in Norrköping.

Customs
Kungsängen is an international airport with customs opportunity. For aircraft in the EU, no special notification in addition to flight.

Licensed engineer will be available in the fly-in.

Rescue service
On airport's opening hours there will be full emergency preparedness.
Other times, the organizer will have rescue service provided for Air Show with light aircraft.

Alternative airports
There are a number of airports available in almost all directions if you counted wrong on the fuel or wind.
If something happens so that Kungsängen must close use alternative airports.
